The Gaza Strip
In September 2007, Israel branded the Gaza Strip a “hostile entity.” Since then, Israel has imposed an illegal and inhumane blockade on the Gaza Strip, cutting off fuel supplies to the territory and preventing any movement or goods or peoples in and out of the Strip – effectively imprisoning the population and cutting of their access to the outside world. The siege on Gaza is leading to the collapse of the Gazan economy, its health sector as well as food and fuel shortages. Through these measures the Israeli government is enacting genocidal processes against the Palestinian people in Gaza with the complicity of the international community.
